As a recognised scientist and expert in learning technologies research, René Röpke has been invited as a keynote speaker and will open the Academic/Learning Analytics network meeting with his talk. The talk will take place on 28 May at TU Wien.

“Insights and experiences of learning analytics research in Germany”

With the increasing relevance of data in teaching and learning, learning analytics is becoming increasingly important in research and practice. On the one hand, innovative approaches for processing, analysing, presenting and interpreting learning data are needed, and on the other hand, learning analytics should be systematically integrated into educational contexts, taking into account various stakeholders. This talk will take a look at Germany and briefly present various actors and their research on learning analytics. The diversity in research will be highlighted and existing networks/forums will be addressed. This will be followed by in-depth reports from an interdisciplinary joint project on analysing and planning the course of studies using learning analytics and AI.
