On 10 September 2026, Dr.in rer. soc. oec. Anastasiya Savran successfully defended her dissertation at TU Wien. She is the first doctoral candidate of the STEAM – STEM – stART’em doctoral program initiated by the CTSi (short: STE[A+]M) to complete her doctorate.

On September 8 and 9, 2026, the CTSi (Center for Technology-driven Social Innovation), together with the CTSi//circle.responsibleComputing, will serve as a co-host of the international IFIP HCC17 “Human Choice and Computers” Conference at TU Wien. The renowned conference of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) brings together experts from academia, research, and practice to discuss current questions surrounding human-AI interaction and the societal implications of digital technologies.

On June 23, 2026, this year’s CTSi//midsommar.2026 took place in the Böcklsaal at TU Wien, bringing together participants from research, education, and professional practice for a shared afternoon of exchange. The event focused on the question of how social innovation can be shaped in the context of artificial intelligence and increasingly agentic systems.

On June 24, 2026, the team of TU Wien’s CTSi traveled to Brno to visit our alliance partner, the Brno University of Technology, in order to accompany the EULiST Science Communication Training as part of the annual EULiST Student Conference – the format that the CTSi helped develop as the lead of the working group of the same name within the alliance.
